DESCRIPTION

Development of high-performance polyethylene and polypropylene for processing methods that require high melt strength. Specific functional groups are grafted by reactive extrusion to extend to thermal operating window, improve the compatibilization with others polymers, inorganic fillers and additives, etc . This strategy allows to adapt specific material properties such as coloration, biocide capacity, etc.

These materials can be used, among others,in thermoforming, spinning, foaming processes, being their performance better than the one of conventional polyolefins. The modified polyolefin materials can be produced in a lab or pilot scale and detailed characterization can be performed.
