DESCRIPTION

Electric chamber muffle furnace for the thermal treatment of solids in static air. It is the general purpose instrument for calcinations and gravimetric determinations at high temperature.

MAIN FEATURES

• Configuration: closed chamber with refractory insulation and perimeter heating elements
• Control: digital with PID loop and thermocouple; depending on the version, ramp programming
• Door: hinged, with power cut-off interlock
• Atmosphere: static air
• Usable volume: of the order of a few liters, suitable for crucibles and porcelain dishes
• Maximum temperature: depending on the model, usually up to 1000 -1100 °C (check the equipment nameplate)

MAIN APPLICATIONS

• Calcination of catalytic precursors for their conversion into oxides
• Removal by combustion of organic templates in zeolites and mesoporous materials
• Determination of ash, moisture and volatile matter
• Regeneration of deactivated catalysts by coke burn-off
• Conditioning and pre-calcination of crucibles
