PLAPIQUI has the following capabilities:
• Design and testing of the production of new granular or coated products with desired properties
• Melt or wet granulation in automatically controlled fluidized-bed and twin-screw granulators. Fluidized-bed technology at two scales: pilot (5 kg/batch) and laboratory (500 g/batch). Twin-screw granulator with maximum throughput of 1 kg/h.
• Optimization of process conditions and definition of new operating windows.
• Design of fluidized-bed granulation units.
• Theoretical modeling of granulation process based on mass, energy, momentum and population balances.
• Simulation, optimization and control studies of granulation processes.
• CFD simulation of fluidization process.
