Atomic absorption spectrometer
PERKIN ELMER – AANALYST 700
DESCRIPTION
Double-beam atomic absorption spectrometer that integrates two atomizers in a single instrument: a burner for flame atomization and a graphite furnace for electrothermal atomization. It determines metals and metalloids at trace levels in liquid samples and allows hydride generation.
MAIN FEATURES
- Optical system: double beam, optimized for maximum radiation throughput
- Wavelength range: 190-900 nm
- Monochromator: 1800 lines/mm diffraction grating; 267 mm focal length; 1.6 nm/mm reciprocal linear dispersion
- Spectral bandwidths: 0.2, 0.7 and 2.0 nm, with motorized slit drive
- Atomizers: flame burner and longitudinally heated graphite furnace, with automatic software-driven changeover
- Graphite furnace: STPF (Stabilized Temperature Platform Furnace) technology to minimize interferences
- Background correction: deuterium lamp
- Automation: autosampler for the graphite furnace; single- and multi-element analysis
MAIN APPLICATIONS
- Determination of heavy metals in natural, waste and process waters
- Quantification of metals in soils, sediments, sludges and residues
- Metal analysis in coals, ashes and biomass
- Control of the metal composition of catalysts and of metal leaching
- Determination of trace metals in extracts and natural products
